With more than 10 years of experience, owner Megan Morris’ passion is planning splendid events and paying close attention to the details that make those experiences memorable. With her passion and dedicated team, your planning process is less stressful and easier to enjoy. Splendid Events focuses on the small details adding the extra "wow" factor to any event!

Megan has managed the details of functions ranging from 50 to 5,000+ guests, including fundraisers, festivals, banquets, group activities, sporting events, and more. She began her career in California in marketing and soon discovered her passion for the service industry, particularly for events and working directly with people. After 4 years in California, she returned to Louisiana and has resided in Lafayette for more than 5 years. She served as the Director of LARC’s Acadian Village, a Lafayette cultural landmark which preserves Acadian heritage and culture, for 3 years before beginning her new venture, Splendid Events.
Commitment to Community Service
Megan believes in the importance of playing an active role in the civic and philanthropic sectors. She volunteers for organizations such as One Acadiana regional economic development organization and CASA, and has served as a board member for the Leadership Institute of Acadiana and the Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women. She is a graduate of the Leadership Lafayette program and remains an active alumnus with the organization.
